  • Before paying for a class you’re missing, gather all the syllabus from your graduate program classes and match the syllabus to requirements for licensure. You may have a class that meets the requirements, but may have a different title.

  • We hold professional development courses for both graduate and post-graduate students on mental health counseling licensure in Hawaiʻi. If you would like to look out for these opportunities, sign up for our newsletter for updates!

  • Yes, in Hawaiʻi LMHCʻs do not have a requirement to meet a certain amount of continuing education (CE) credits to continue licensure. However, HCA continues to provide professional developments to encourage our counselors to continue their practice with high standards and ethical performance.

  • The associate licensure is projected to start June 2026. We will continue to look out for more details about the process.
